When travelling off-road and avoiding caravan parks you will need a refrigeration system you can rely on through a hot Aussie summer. You may also want to keep the fridge running in the car, to ensure you have cool drinks while travelling.
The Evakool fridge, freezer has both a fridge and freezer section to allow you to keep frozen foods and cool drinks at the same time. The unit also has an adjustable divider to enlarge either the fridge or freezer area and is powered by a Danfoss refrigeration compressor, BD35F/BD50F.
Travelling through a sizzling Australian summer you can rely on the Evakool to cope with the heat. The refrigeration unit has a fan assisted cooling system to improve performance and power usage.
The unit is also very energy efficient due to its white fibreglass exterior, which is painted with a heat reflective paint, and the virtually unrivalled level of insulation in the walls and lid. When running both the fridge and freezer on a 430C day it will only use just over 2a/h over a 24 hour period which basically means that it is very energy efficient.
If you are looking to travel off the beaten track, the Evakool has a heavy duty refrigeration unit and chassis and an 8-point suspension system. It is also able to operate effectively at angles of up to 30 degrees.
The Evakool also has the ability to operate in an economy mode to conserve power or a boost mode to quickly freeze or cool the contents at the flick of a switch.
LED displays indicate whether the unit is cycling or running and a separate LED flashes to indicate there is a fault. The unit also has Low Voltage Protection to prevent the battery being drained.
The Evakool is small and easily portable as it weighs 17.5kg, is 725mm long, 445mm wide and 420mm high.
The Evakool is RRP $1,099 and available from Home of 12 Volt at 6a Rankine Street, Strathalbyn. For more information contact Home of 12 Volt on 08 8536 2144
